Mathematics is a weapon of war, when it is applied accurately, it saves, and else it kills. It has no middle path. 2 x 2 always equals 4 and has no other answer in the entire world. There cannot be a partly correct answer. For this lacuna, a chance that an answer in mathematics is correct is a case of rarest of the rare. Blue-eyed boys of Lehman Brothers failed in making a right choice of the mathematics and got killed in the war. Mathematics is like searching needle in a haystock, and in darkness, with so little substance in absense of the Tuth. This is 'Tamo Guna' or most dreaded disease of mind. Given the challenge, mind cannot leave it half done, and gets entrapped into an unending loop. What is it really?
Mathematics (System of Measurement): What is 'system' ? The word weapon is called Shstra in Sanskrit. And Shaastra is the know-how of use of weapon (shstra) in our war against ignorance. For this reason, Mathematics is a Shaastra or System of Measurement. System in English is the same thing as Shaastra in Sanskrit. For example, Solar System is called Jyotish Shastra, Physical System or Physics is called Bhautik Shaastra, Economic System (economics) is called Arth Shaastra. Shastra or System exists anyway as ‘unchanging’ Truth; but enlightenment comes only by determination, step-by-step discovery and continuous reminder of the System. This ‘practice’ (of determination, discovery and reminder) is called meditation (or dhyan in Sanskrit). In the Bhagwat Gita (3/3), Sri Krishna says that there are two ways of practice in realizing the Truth. One is, Sankhya Yoga or 'path of continuous inquiry’, analysis including mathematics, research (solving problem of relativity) and thus pruning branches of specializations in discovery of the general, abstract or root knowledge by the intellect. Role model of this yoga in recent times is Einstein. And another is 'path of action’ (which is not a reaction) i.e., abandoning defences and being simple by the change of character. This was Gandhi. And at the end, the Einstein Yoga (Sankhya Yoga) or Computational Observers reach also at the same place of self-realization where comes the Gandhi Yoga (Nish Kaam Karm Yoga). Knowledge (meditative engagement) is for the search of Truth. Truth is a little different than knowledge. Knowledge is a path to destination, and not the destination. Activity of intellect is alive, and it provides increased clarity in ideas for better prediction and self-assessment (‘systems’ like physics, mathematics. But Truth is a state of union with it; and here, any knowledge thus becomes unnecessary. Truth has a property of relaxation of mind, being in non-defence or non-violence because this is the root of all knowledge by summing up all and every point of view, and is unexplainable. Those in state of Truth, find every answer correct, and everything True (in stark contrast with search of a needle in haystock with the ideas of Mathematics).
There is a saying that a whole is greater than sum of the parts. This means a river, which is a whole and is worshipped in India from ages as mother has a far greater value than sum of all bathrooms. Loss of a whole cannot be compensated by elaborate and computerized accountancy and measurement of water supply efficiency in bathrooms across the world. A car is similarly more valuable than sum of its components. Mathematics is obviously not a solution but can make each one busy (called business). Best of the businessmen, accountants and engineers after spending lifetime in accountancy and trivial measurements end up in miserable lives and begin from where they started. And all people in category of greats are only those who renounced mathematics first; be it Buddha (truth seeker), Gandhi, Tagore (poet), Teresa (saint) and even Amitabh Bacchan (artist). Amitabh Bachhan in ABCL got injured by sting of mathematics and had to retreat.
Mathematics is born in mind of the Mother Nature when children (humans) had a little fight over something. To buy peace, the mother thought of DIVIDING the area so that each one can play separately and it should end the conflict. Little later she comes to see both fighting again. One said that the area of the other was more, and his was less. Mother then SUBSTRACTED a little and ADDED to another. Then again, children were fighting, she then had to MUTIPLY the effort of substraction and addition and but never had the correct division. These 4 operations of mathematics i.e., Division, Subsraction, Addition and Multiplication are never have ends, and that keeps all children busy without a real solution. This is the secret of business. In Bhagwat Gita (3/9), Sri Krishna says that Business is a toxic or poisonous knowledge (Vishay = poison, Vyavaya = dealing in Vishay). Because it is defective, it calls attention to past deeds, and never lets the mind go free. A manufacturer who shipped defective products cannot stop his/her phone from ringing. Everyone likes him/her to fix the mistake it made. Rework is Business. This is bondage, and practitioners of business can never find a way to liberation. Business or wrongly applied mathematics is like a medicine, which although cannot cure but can somehow delays the death. In our time, business is at boom. Economy is entirely dependent on increase of disease, crime, wars, leisure and defects. Business will stop if these do not exist. Cure by Destructive Learning is worst than the Disease. The world is at risk because the Mother Nature is busy in humans who cannot just learn to live in peace. Were mathematics applied correct and accurately, it would not have been just a business but an enlightenment of the whole like the one realized by Einstein and Newton. ‘Right Mathematics’ is a path of Sankhya Yoga (computational observers), which is a path tread by unusually determined intellectuals on the way to Liberation.

Inside the world of business, which is full of specialization, anxiety and fear of pleasure and pain, only the God save the idiots.
